Teenager stabbed at KZN school is in critical condition – LNN

A young boy (17) is in a critical condition after being stabbed at a secondary school in Merebank, KZN, this morning.

The student was brutally attacked and as a result was stabbed several times.

According to PT Alarms, the student suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest and back after he was allegedly attacked by a fellow student who tried to steal his mobile phone.

ALS Paramedics spokesman Garrith Jamieson said the victim was in a critical condition when paramedics arrived at the scene.

“Paramedics worked to stabilize the student before he was taken to the nearest hospital,” it adds.

Jamieson said security staff and Wentworth police responded immediately and are investigating the events leading up to the stabbing.
