18-year-old driver’s license and insanity evaluations after theft

An 18-year-old boy is being evaluated for competency and insanity.

This was after he allegedly shoplifted Janus Motorcycle in April. Police said Witham was caught on security cameras entering the store and stealing more than a thousand dollars’ worth of items, including a jacket and helmet.

The next day, the Goshen News reported that he was seen wearing the items nearby and resisted arrest, slightly injuring two police officers.

Witham’s mental evaluation was scheduled and a hearing date was set for March 31.
