Greenville stabbing suspect caught, restrictions imposed at high school lifted

GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) – A woman wanted for stabbing her father this morning is now in custody.

Greenville police are expected to release more details soon.

The stabbing at Trace Court prompted a modified lockdown because John Paul II Catholic High School is about a half-mile away. The school says the lockdown has since been lifted.

Police said the 30-year-old woman is believed to have stabbed her father in the arm.

While the stabbing occurred around 8.30 in the morning, the suspect was caught around 11:00 in the morning.

A neighbor tells WITN he saw a bloodied man leaving the house.
