KSP report: 1 person died and 1 person was injured after a vehicle crash in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ky. (LEX 18) — One person was killed and another was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Warsaw on Nov. 12 just after 5 p.m., according to Kentucky State Police.

KSP reported that a preliminary investigation showed that a 2018 Ford Escape driven by Ricky Webb was traveling westbound on US 42 when two pedestrians entered the roadway near the crosswalk at the KY 35 intersection and struck the vehicle.

The Gallatin County Coroner responded to the scene and one of the pedestrians, identified by authorities as a 76-year-old woman, was pronounced dead.

The other pedestrian, an 83-year-old, was taken to a medical facility for treatment of his injuries, KSP said.

This is an ongoing investigation by KSP Post 5. No other information has been released at this time.
