Student arrested for rape on campus at ECU

GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) -An East Carolina University student has been charged with one of the rapes that occurred recently on the East Carolina University campus.

Records show Connor Kendrick was arrested yesterday on charges of second-degree forcible rape.

The 18-year-old has since posted a $150,000 bond and been released from jail.

ECU says Kendirck is a freshman at the university.

The court order states that the rape took place on October 24. The victim is stated to be “mentally disabled, intellectually disabled, or physically helpless.”

ECU police say Kendrick has been arrested linked to at least one attack on campus. A police report states Kendrick is accused of the Oct. 24 rape at Clement Hall.

There have been three rape cases on campus since late September.

  • Tyler Hall on September 30
  • Clement Hall 24 October
  • Garrett Hall on November 4

WITN has reached out to ECU police for more information regarding the teen’s arrest.
