‘If your children do not talk, you need to go to the courts’: The judge punished the father for harassing his ex-girlfriend

A judge questioned why Luke Moreman appeared before her despite trying to speak to her children on multiple occasions, including on Christmas Day.

Deputy district judge James Hulse said Moreman, of Waverley in Telford, had been polite and made no threats during the searches, apart from using an ‘unpleasant word’ when he last spoke to him in March this year.

Moreman, 29, pleaded guilty to following a pattern of behavior that amounted to harassment by his ex-girlfriend on Christmas Day 2023 and March 3, 2024.

Judge Hulse and prosecutor Victoria Maher discussed the issues during the trial Tuesday.

Judge Hulse said he was ‘concerned’ about the case because it involved him being called to see his children on Christmas Day.

“You should expect to get a call about your kids on Christmas Day,” he said.
