STATEMENT: Temporary Suspension of Foreign Exchange Trading License | Banking/Finance

Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) acknowledges the notice of the Bank of Ghana regarding the temporary suspension of our Foreign Exchange Trading License. We believe that the concerns raised in the notice can be resolved quickly and we are committed to working closely with the Bank of Ghana to ensure compliance.

We would like to reassure our valued customers that this suspension will not affect CBG’s normal banking operations. Except for foreign exchange products and services, all our branches and digital platforms will continue to offer all our services to our customers. We expect to fully reinstate foreign exchange products following our agreement with the Bank of Ghana or upon expiry of the suspension period.

We unreservedly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and reaffirm our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational compliance in all aspects of our business.

We value all our stakeholders and remain committed to offering a simple, secure and different banking experience to our valued customers.
