Former Met Police officer David Carrick denies multiple sex offenses

A former Met Police officer has denied eight sexual offenses against a woman and a girl.

David Carrick, of Stevenage, Hertfordshire, is charged with two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of coercive and controlling behavior towards a woman in Stevenage between 2014 and 2019.

The 49-year-old man is also accused of five indecent assaults on a girl under 16 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, between 1989 and 1990, when he was a teenager.

When he appeared at the Old Bailey in London via video link, the former firearms officer pleaded not guilty to all charges. His trial was postponed to November 3, 2025.

Mr Carrick previously appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court via video link, where he spoke only to confirm his name and age and no plea was entered.

He previously served in the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command within the Metropolitan Police.

His trial will be held at the Old Bailey and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 14, 2025.
