Fire at large house on Saskatoon’s Caswell Hill is under investigation

An investigation is ongoing into a fire that broke out at a three-storey house in Saskatoon’s Caswell Hill neighborhood Friday night.

The Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) said in a news release that the department received a number of calls regarding the fire at 408 24th Street West on Oct. 25 around 5:40 p.m.

SFD said when they arrived, visible flames were spreading from the large house and the garage and warehouses were also in flames.

Firefighters launched an aggressive attack on all structures from the outside and called in an additional engine and ladders to help contain the fire.

The teams remained at the scene for several hours to investigate.

While no one was injured in the fire, the investigation continues. No further details were given.
