Lompoc man arrested Wednesday for attempted murder following Nov. 8 stabbing

LOMPOC, Calif. – A 48-year-old Lompoc man was arrested Wednesday for attempted murder in connection with a stabbing that occurred Nov. 8 in the 100 block of North V Street.

A press release from the Lompoc Police Department on Thursday said officers were dispatched to a stabbing incident that occurred on Nov. 8 at approximately 10:22 p.m. in the 100 block of North V Street.

Arriving officers found a man with multiple stab wounds in his armpits and upper chest, but the suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and notified the Lompoc Police Department.

The stabbed man was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital for further treatment and was eventually released from medical care, the Lompoc Police Department said.

According to Lompoc Police, their investigation led to a 48-year-old Lompoc man as the suspect in the stabbing, but officers and detectives were unable to locate him at that time.

A. Ramey order Bail for the Lompoc man’s arrest on attempted murder charges was set at $2 million, the Lompoc Police Department said.

At approximately 4:30 pm on November 13, the Special Investigations Unit was conducting surveillance in the 100 block of North N Street and located the 48-year-old man, and although he attempted to evade arrest, he was eventually taken into custody. The other incident detailed the Lompoc Police Department.
