Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jaylen Brown Lineup Takes Another Wild Turn

Things took a dramatic turn after the on-court incident between Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown over the weekend. During the team’s encounter, Antetokounmpo appeared to be trying to shake Brown’s hand, but pulled it away at the last second.

After the game, Brown was asked what the moment was like and threw shade at Antetokounmpo by calling him a kid.

“Giannis is a kid. I’m just focused on helping my team get a win and that’s what we did tonight.”

The Bucks star was taken back by the comments and didn’t understand why Brown was so angry at a joke.

“We always joke around depending on the flow of the game. This is something I do with my children, I play. This is who I am. I play the game with fun and enjoyment.”

He also doubled down on his actions, saying he would probably do it again if given the chance.

“I think he’s an incredible player. He always does the right thing to help his team win. But I’ll continue to be me, and if at the end of the day I’m called a kid, so be it. … If I get another opportunity, I’ll do it again.”

Things seemed to calm down between the two until Antetokounmpo scored 59 points on Wednesday night to help Milwaukee get the win. Nike later tweeted some shade at Brown.

Brown has now added more surprise to this incident by responding to Nike.

At first this all seemed like a harmless stunt by Antetokounmpo against Brown, but now it’s turned into something else entirely. Both players are proud and this will only increase their desire to win in their next match.

The two stars have been at the top of their game for years, so this interaction between them is definitely interesting. The Bucks and Celtics have been rivals in the Eastern Conference for the past few seasons, adding more firepower to the overall equation.

Boston beat the Bucks in the first two meetings earlier this season. The next match between the two teams will be in Boston on December 6, so we can see fireworks on the field.
