Prisoner sentenced to theft escaped

A 35-year-old man serving a 16-year sentence for theft escaped from an open prison, police said.

Jamie Langley was reported missing to Suffolk Police after he was not present for roll call at HMP Hollesley Bay on Wednesday.

He has links to Essex and is described as 5ft 10in (1.77m) tall and of medium build.

According to police, he was last seen wearing a white puffer jacket, black sweatpants with white writing on his right leg, and white sneakers.

Hollesley Bay is a category D open prison, where prisoners can usually leave the area during the day with permission to work or study.
