FBI Nashville searching for man who may have information on child sexual assault victim

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation office in Nashville are searching for a man they believe has information on the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual abuse investigation.

FBI Nashville is asking for the public’s help in identifying the unknown man. They released photos of “John Doe 49” to the public.

“The initial video of unidentified male John Doe 49 was first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and is believed to have been produced on or before July 2024,” FBI Nashville said. “There is no EXIF ​​data embedded in the video file.”

The FBI describes the man as a white male between 45 and 65 years old, bald and with a dark goatee. The subject has at least five visual tattoos:

  • The word Dabby on the right side of his chest
  • 197 followed by possible additional unknown text on his left bicep
  • He has additional tattoos on his left and right forearms and right bicep

“Anyone with information to provide should submit tips online to: https://tips.fbi.gov/Call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), according to the FBI. “The public is reminded that no charges have been filed in this case and the person in the photo is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.”

The FBI added that the unidentified man was wanted as part of the bureau’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Children Alert Program initiatives.
