Man pleads guilty to theft in violation of protection order

Nov. 14 — LIMA — A Harrod man pleaded guilty Thursday in Allen County Common Pleas Court to third-degree charges of burglary and violating a protective order.

Spencer Coon, 22, was charged with second-degree felony burglary, one third-degree felony and three first-degree misdemeanor charges for violating a protective order. The theft charge was amended and misdemeanor charges of violating the protective order were dismissed.

Coon will be sentenced on December 19. The charges do not carry a mandatory prison sentence, so Coon would be eligible to seek judicial release if sentenced to prison.

Judge Terri Kohlrieser granted Coon bail pending sentencing. The protective order that Coon violated was lifted in September.
