LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – This is where you can get live updates of Nebraska’s game against Ohio State.

First Quarter

Nebraska started the game much like last week, a mistake made on special teams.

The offense backed up inside its own 5-yard line and went 3-and-out, giving the Buckeyes prime field position.

The Black Shirts stepped up to the challenge. They were able to stop the Buckeyes on fourth and short to give the ball back to the offense.

After a defensive battle to start the game, Ohio State’s offense finally got going. Will Howard was able to find Carnell Tate for a 40-yard touchdown pass, giving the Buckeyes a 7-0 lead after the first quarter.

Second Quarter

The Nebraska offense was able to respond. Dylan Raiola used his legs to get the Huskers all the way to Ohio State’s 30-yard line.

The offense stalled, but John Hohl was able to get inside and kick a 39-yard field goal, making the score 7-3.

But Ohio State released the deep ball once again. Howard found freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith for a 60-yard touchdown pass, giving the Buckeyes a 14-3 lead.

The Buckeyes got the ball back and went long. A missed field goal by Jayden Fielding gave the Huskers the ball back at the two-minute warning.

Nebraska was able to drive down the field and make it 14-6 at halftime with Hohl’s 56-yard field goal.

Howard finished the first half completing nine of nine passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

While Smith and Carnell each had 65 yards receiving and a touchdown, the Buckeyes can’t keep it up on the ground.

Raiola had just 43 yards in the first half, but he led all rushers with 42 yards on the ground.
