Teen arrested for second time on outstanding warrant in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – On Thursday, a Colorado Springs teenager was arrested for the second time on an outstanding warrant.

Colorado Springs police said they launched an investigation into several minors in June for threatening them with a gun and vehicle theft.

Another investigation investigated one of the suspects being a juvenile with a gun and other firearm-related crimes. Police said they arrested the suspect, a 15-year-old male, for those crimes in late July.

The teen was taken to the Zeb Pike Juvenile Detention Facility and released five days later, police said.

On October 3, the same teenager was named as a suspect in intensive care for threatening with a handgun at a local school. Police said they later issued an arrest warrant for the teen for felony menacing and other firearms-related offenses.

On Thursday, Colorado Springs Police School Resource Officers took the teen into custody on an outstanding warrant.

As of Thursday, the teen was booked into the Pueblo Youth Correctional Institution.
