The woman who was stabbed at the bus stop was killed, the suspect was detained

The driver called 911 around 5:15 a.m. at a bus stop near the intersection of Harding Place and Antioch Pike. He remained at the scene to help Nashville police officers identify the attacker, who was taken into custody after a group of people tackled him. Police said he was held on until authorities arrived.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died, police said.

Investigators have closed down a portion of Harding Place on Antioch Pike to continue their investigation.
