First responders thank good Samaritans for getting drivers out of car after fiery crash in Netherlands

HOLLAND, Texas (KWTX) – The Holland Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the good Samaritans who stopped to help two motorists following a fiery crash on FM 2268, a half-mile from the West Romberg intersection.

At 7:33 a.m., authorities responded to the crash with reports that a vehicle was on fire and a person was trapped inside.

First responders who arrived at the scene said the accident occurred as a result of a head-on collision and one vehicle was engulfed in flames.

According to authorities, the person trapped in the burning car was rescued by good Samaritans who stopped by to help.

One person was still trapped inside the second car when authorities arrived. With the help of many citizens who stopped to help, authorities were able to get the person in the second vehicle out.

Both victims were taken to hospital, one by ambulance and the other by plane.

Holland VDF said they wanted to thank all the good Samaritans who stopped by to help.
