Samuel Taylor arrested on drug charges in Decatur

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) – A Morgan County man was jailed this week on various drug charges.

Decatur police said they began receiving complaints about drug distribution within city limits in October.

Police said their investigation led them to Samuel Taylor. As the investigation progressed, police said probable cause was obtained to obtain a search warrant at Taylor’s home.

The search warrant was executed Thursday, and police said Taylor was found in possession of fentanyl, fentanyl-pressed pills, marijuana and a firearm.

Taylor was arrested for two counts of illegal drug trafficking, second-degree possession of marijuana, and possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.

He was brought to the Morgan County Jail and held on $150,600 bond.
