2 people injured in accident in Southampton

SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Emergency crews in Southampton responded to a motor vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

According to the Southampton Fire Department, at approximately 4:55 p.m., firefighters arrived on scene for a report of an accident involving a possible trap in the area of ​​68 Lead Mine Road.

When crews arrived on scene, a Sedan was observed to have crashed into several rocks in front of the driveway and came to rest at the end of the driveway.

Officials confirmed that the driver suffered a medical emergency, causing him to lose control and crash into two rocks.

Two people who were slightly injured in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals.
