Man sentenced to 560 years in prison for rape

ASH FLAT, Ark. (KAIT) – A Sharp County judge sentenced a man to more than 500 years in prison following a rape conviction.

A Sharp County jury found Terry “Woodstock” Long, 65, of Ash Flat, guilty of 14 counts of rape on Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to Arkansas State Police.

Sharp County Sheriff’s Office requests assistance from ASP We are investigating Long in June 2023 after receiving a report from the Arkansas Crimes Against Children Unit. The report stated that a 64-year-old man attacked a minor.

Long was arrested on June 13, 2023, on rape charges.

The ASP said Long’s cell phone and computer were searched by special agents and that evidence was shown to the jury in the case.

Ratton sentenced Long to 560 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
