Advance Auto Parts will close more than 700 stores. Which locations are closing in Florida?

Advance Auto Parts is the latest chain to announce it will close stores in an effort to rebuild to profitability. The auto parts retailer announced Thursday that it plans to close 523 corporate stores. Exiting 204 independent locations and closing four distribution centers, According to Reuters.

The company’s shares fell nearly 5% after it reported third-quarter earnings that missed expectations.

Other major chains that have closed branches this year due to financial difficulties include: Red Lobster, Major Parties, Hooters, TGI Fridays, Conn’s HomePlus, Country Steakhouse and more.

Advance currently has 4,776 stores. According to their website. It also previously owned 321 Worldpac branches but recently sold them for $1.5 billion. According to CNN.

How will Advance Auto Parts stores in Florida be affected by the closures?

Advance has not publicly announced which stores will close by the end of next year. As of now, it has not been announced which stores will close in the Sunshine State.

There are currently more than 520 Advance Auto Parts stores operating in Florida. Of that total, 30 are in Miami, 26 in Jacksonville, 23 in Orlando, 20 in Tampa, 11 in Fort Myers, and it seems most Florida cities have at least one.
