Man, 37, seriously injured in hospital after ‘mayhem’ on Glasgow’s Buchanan Street

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following chaos in Glasgow city centre.

Emergency crews rushed to Buchanan Street at around 5am on Saturday, November 16, and the 37-year-old was taken to the Royal Infirmary.

Police confirmed they were investigating the incident and appealed to the public for information.

A force spokesman said: “At around 5am on Saturday 16 November 2024 we were called to a report of a disturbance in Buchanan Street, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment of serious injuries.

“Extensive investigations are ongoing.

“Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 quoting incident 0641 of Saturday 16 November 2024.”
