Manager of Madhupada Village accused of rape

Visakhapatnam: A government school principal in Vizianagaram district has been arrested on charges of sexual assault. Srinivasa Rao, principal of Madhupada Public School in Gantyada Mandal, allegedly assaulted a woman who approached him to correct errors in her son’s school certificates.

According to the information obtained, the mother visited the school on November 14 to get help with her son’s paperwork. Srinivasa Rao assured him that he could help him by suggesting that they go together to Srungavarapukota to discuss the issues directly with the officials concerned. Trusting his words, the woman agreed to accompany him on her motorcycle.

However, during the trip, he headed for a garden where he allegedly tried to blackmail him by insisting that he comply with his demands in exchange for correcting his son’s documents. Despite his objections and cries for help, which lasted for more than an hour, no one came to his aid. Finally, the school principal abandoned him on the roadside at Pandhara Appanna Junction after threatening him with the consequences of issuing certificates if his son did not comply.

After the harassment, the woman contacted her husband, who rushed to her location. They went to the women’s police station together and filed an official complaint. The case has been documented at Srungavarapukota police station under number 209/24 and investigation is ongoing.
