IN FULL: Minna Chief Imam Reported Dead, Details Emerged

• Sheikh Isa Ibrahim Fari, Chief Imam of Minna, the capital of Niger state, passed away at the age of 93.
• According to reports circulating on Sunday, the prominent Islamic cleric died at the IMM Specialized Hospital in Minna on Saturday night, November 16.
• In a statement made by his press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor of Niger state, Umaru Muhammad Bago, described the death of the cleric as a sad loss for the state and the Muslim Community.

Minna Chief Imam, Niger state Capital Sheik Isa Ibrahim Fari passed away.

Fari, who served as the Chief Imam of Minna for more than 20 years, was reported to have died. IMM Private hospital in Minna, on Saturday night, November 16, at the age of 93.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor described the death of Sheikh Fari as a sad loss for the state and the entire Muslim Community.

In a post shared on his own account Facebook On the page on Sunday, November 17, Governor Bago said the following:

“I express the condolences of the Emirate of Minna, his family members and the Muslim Ummah on the death of the Chief Imam of Minna, Mal. Ibrahim Isah Fari.

“May God have mercy on the late Aljannat Firdausi.”

Jana-izah is planned to be held at Minna Central Mosque on Sunday at 14:00.
