4 people injured in 2 separate stabbing attacks in Glendale

Police said four people were injured in two separate stabbings in Glendale on Sunday night, and three of them were taken to the hospital.

Glendale police said the stabbings occurred 20 minutes apart and it was unclear whether either incident was gang-related.

According to authorities, the first stabbing was reported in the area of ​​Dryden Avenue and San Rafael Avenue at 7:44 p.m.

Details are limited, but preliminary reports say an unknown number of people were involved in the fight, during which three people were stabbed.

Police said the suspect fled the scene and all three victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The ministry did not provide a description of the suspect and said the investigation into this stabbing was ongoing.

The second stabbing occurred a short time later, around 8:03 p.m., in the 100 block of Windsor Road, police said.

A man who authorities said may have been under the influence was allegedly hanging out in the area when a group of men asked him to leave.

According to police, the man did not want to leave and stabbed a person during the confrontation.

Authorities did not provide further information about how the incident turned violent, but confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody.

Police did not immediately identify the suspect.

The victim, who was alone, allegedly suffered minor injuries and refused to be transported.

Police said the scene has been cleared and the investigation is no longer active.
