3 people committed suicide in different incidents

Three people died by suicide in Kiambu, West Pokot and Nyeri counties.

A man died by suicide in South Gatundu in Kiambu on Sunday.

22-year-old David Nganga Wacuka died by hanging himself with a sisal rope.

The body was found hanging from the rafters of his rented house in Gatundu District.

According to police reports, it was stated that the deceased did not leave any note behind and there were no visible injuries on his body.

Police examined the scene and documented it.

A man died by suicide in Asal sub-district of Sigor West Pokot County on Saturday.

28-year-old Simon Kapelisiwa died by hanging himself with a sisal rope.

His body was found hanging from the rafters of his bedroom.

Police teams confirmed the incident and reported that there was no suicide note left behind.

The crime scene was processed and documented.

His body was taken to the Kapenguria Hospital morgue for autopsy. The case is under investigation.

In another incident in Nyeri County, a man died by suicide in Kieni East on 16 November 2024.

Muchai Gitahi, 69, a resident of Kimuri market, died by hanging himself with a wire cable.

His body was found hanging from the rafters in his shop.

According to police reports, a handwritten suicide note was found at the scene.

The crime scene was examined and the body of the victim was taken to Nyeri PGH morgue for autopsy. The case is under investigation.
