Two criminals arrested after shooting at police, large amount of stolen goods seized – India TV

In a major development, police in Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) arrested two notorious criminals after a violent encounter on Sunday night. Criminals on motorcycles opened fire on police during a chase after they were given a stop sign during a routine check in Sector 39. Police returned fire in self-defense, wounding both suspects.

The incident took place on the night of November 17 when police were checking on Dadri Road at Shashi Chowk junction. When the police gave a stop sign to the two motorcyclists, they ignored the order and tried to flee towards Sector 49. The police became suspicious of their intentions and followed them.

Trying to escape, the criminals entered a forest area near Sector 42. As police approached, the suspects opened fire on officers who tried to kill them. In response, the police opened fire in self-defense, wounding both criminals in their legs. The individuals were later caught and detained.

Following the encounter, the identities of the criminals were confirmed. One of them has been identified as Noorjamal Sheikh, a resident of West Bengal’s Vardhaman and currently residing in DLF Phase 1 in Gurugram in Haryana. The second culprit has been identified as Rajkumar Vishwas, a resident of West Bengal’s Murshidabad, who is also a resident of Gurugram’s DLF Phase 1.

Weapons, money and jewelery were seized

The police seized important evidence from the criminals. It was determined that they were in possession of two 315 caliber pistols, two magazine cartridges and two empty cartridges. A large amount of stolen goods, including jewelery worth around Rs 80 lakh and cash worth Rs 1.35 lakh, were also seized. The police department announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on the heads of both criminals.

The criminals were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment following their injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the full criminal backgrounds of these individuals and other details regarding their activities. Police continue to investigate the criminals’ network and are determined to uncover more details about their involvement in past crimes.
