‘William, Kate and children slept in house on site’ as masked thieves ‘raided’ Windsor Castle grounds | UK News

Members of the Royal Family are believed to have been sleeping nearby as masked thieves stole farm vehicles from the Windsor Castle estate.

On the night of October 13, two men climbed a 6-foot fence and used a stolen truck to break down the security gate. The Sun first reported.

The couple then escaped in a pickup truck and a quad bike hidden in a barn.

But according to The Sun, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children George, 11, Charlotte, 9, and six-year-old Louis were believed to be at their home, Adelaide Cottage, on the property.

The family moved there in 2022.

In a statement, Thames Valley Police said: “At around 11.45pm on Sunday, October 13, we received reports of a burglary at a property on Crown Estate land near the A308 in Windsor.

“The criminals broke into a farm building and fled in a black Isuzu pickup and a red SUV. They then drove to the Old Windsor/Datchet area.

“No arrests have been made at this stage and the investigation is ongoing.”
