Comparing two 125cc motorcycles from the same bike manufacturer is not very common unless it is Bajaj Pulsars.

In this article I will talk about innovation. Bajaj Pulsar N125 and Pulsar 125 Neon were determined based on their features, specifications, design and price. These are very popular motorcycles. However, the Pulsar name is still the most recognized nameplate in the country. This is because the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer offers all kinds of models under the Pulsar brand. The Pulsar 125 Neon, on the other hand, has an even lower starting price of just Rs 81,843, which goes up to Rs 97,133. So the Neon is the clear winner in this regard, but it also offers more comfort.

Let’s compare the two in terms of the powertrains they carry. Pulsar N125 comes with a 124.59 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces a healthy 12 PS (8.82 kW) at 8,500 RPM and 11 Nm of maximum power and torque at 6,000 RPM. This engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Carrying out braking responsibilities is a CBS (Combined Braking System). The front tire has a 240mm disc while at the rear you will see a 130mm drum. Additionally, the front wheel has a 17-inch diameter and an 80/100 section tire, while the rear tire has a 110/80 section tire. When you want to take your motorcycle off the asphalt, you will not have any problems thanks to the 198 mm ground clearance. Finally, there is a 125 mm telescopic front suspension at the front and a preload adjustable mono shock absorber at the rear.

Its 124.4cc air-cooled single-cylinder mill produces a good value of 11.8 PS at 8,500 RPM and 10.8 Nm of maximum power and torque at 6,500 RPM. It even has a 5-speed manual transmission. It uses a monotube chassis frame with telescopic front suspension and dual gas shock absorbers at the rear. There are 17-inch wheels front and rear, with 80/100 section tire at the front and 100/90 section tire at the rear. Additionally, the front brake diameter is 240 mm and the rear brake diameter is 130 mm. The bike weighs 140 kg, has a ground clearance of 165 mm and a wheelbase of 1,320 mm. Therefore, both these bikes are closely matched.

Design and Features

Bajaj Pulsar N125 definitely has a sporty and adventurous stance. The front features a stylish bodywork and robust suspension pavement, as well as modern LED headlights. On the sides, we experience a sculpted fuel tank with body graphics and a side body panel with gray inserts. At the rear, there is a split seat arrangement with a sturdy grab rail. As a result, the motorcycle leans more towards sportiness. Main features include:

My View

Choosing between these two motorcycles can be a bit difficult. But there are clear applications for these bikes. If you want an affordable adventure bike, it makes sense to choose Pulsar N125. In this respect, it will meet most of your needs. On the other hand, if you want a commuter bike for daily use at an attractive price point, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon is for you. In any case, you can’t go wrong with any of these interesting motorcycles.
