A 68-year-old man has been charged after allegedly assaulting and sexually assaulting two teenage girls in Prestwick, Ayr

A man has been charged with allegedly assaulting and sexually assaulting two teenage girls in South Ayrshire.

Police said a 68-year-old man was arrested and charged following the attacks on Prestwick Road from Prestwick to Ayr at around 7.30pm on Saturday.

He was released on the promise to appear in court at a later date.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “A 68-year-old man was arrested and charged following an alleged assault and sexual assault on two teenage girls in Prestwick Road, Ayr, at around 7.30pm on Saturday, November 16.

“He was released on the promise to appear in court at a later date.”
