Governor Abbott directs emergency response resources ahead of severe weather

TEXAS (KAUZ) – The Governor’s Office announced that Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) to activate the state’s emergency response resources ahead of the potential impacts of severe storms.

At the direction of Governor Abbott, TDEM deployed Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service’s Swiftwater Rescue Boat Teams to assist with flood rescue efforts
