Deadline added“The move, which the company signaled last spring, follows a similar initiative with Hulu earlier this year. This comes ahead of the arrival of ESPN’s ‘flagship’ streaming service, which will include all live programming from all ESPN networks. The projected date for this launch is early fall 2025.

Iger and Johnston in the company’s Q4 earnings report explained“This integrated experience brings us one step closer to bringing a complete sports offering to Disney+ in the US.”

“When we launch ESPN’s flagship DTC offering in early fall 2025, subscribers to the flagship product and Disney+ will have access to the entire suite of ESPN and ESPN+ content within Disney+. “In addition, the flagship experience on the ESPN App will give subscribers access to an advanced suite of innovative digital features, creating a sports destination unlike anything available in the market today,” they explained.
