Rape Response Services Dessert Auction

BANGOR, Maine (PENQUIS) – Looking for a way to satisfy your sweet tooth but don’t want to make dessert yourself? Or maybe you’re looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday but unsure of what to serve for dessert? You’re in luck because it’s almost time for the Annual Dessert Auction, where you can take home a wonderful, delicious treat while supporting Rape Response Services. On Friday, November 22, the Rape Response Services Dessert Auction will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn (250 Haskell Road) in Bangor.

Sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank and NDC, the family-friendly event will feature a wide variety of desserts including cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes and more, including gluten-free and allergy-friendly options. It’s the perfect way to get your Thanksgiving Desserts without the hassle of baking all day.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support Rape Response Services (RRS is a Penquis subsidiary). RRS provides prevention education and awareness, as well as support and advocacy for those affected by sexual violence in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. The doors of the event will open at 18.00 with refreshments. The live auction will start around 18:30. Samples, coffee and other snacks and beverages will also be available. Purchasing participation is made easier by accepting mobile payments by cash, check or credit card.
