Two-month-old kitten stolen in DC home burglary

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Friday evening burglary in Southeast D.C. ended with the theft of a two-month-old Tortoiseshell kitten, prompting police to ask for the public’s help in rescuing the pet.

The incident occurred around 6:35 p.m. in the 2400 block of 15th Place Southeast; Here the suspects broke into a locked house, stole items and fled with the kitten.

The missing kitten, described as having a distinctive tortoiseshell coat, was highlighted by the Metropolitan Police Department and a photo was released to aid in its recovery.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and filing of charges against the suspects involved.
