Newark man arrested for DWI in Seneca County

A Newark man is charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped by Seneca County deputies last week.

Deputies arrested 34-year-old Gary Russell Jr. following a traffic stop in Tire Township, Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson said. Authorities allege Russell was driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher.

Russell was released on a bench warrant and is scheduled to appear in Tire Town Court on Dec. 17 to answer the charges.

Sheriff Thompson reminds residents to avoid impaired driving and encourages the community to report any suspicious behavior on the roadways.
