Latest situation of the Ukraine war: Putin signed the new nuclear doctrine after the US missile move | World News

Chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay He discusses the current situation in Ukraine as the war enters its 1000th day.

“I think we’re entering a very critical phase here because frankly this is the end of the Biden presidency and Trump will follow it,” he says.

“So what will happen to the country from now on? Will he try to negotiate an end to the war? He said he would do this within a day, but did not give any details on how this would happen.

“And I think that has contributed to a lot of people here being anxious about the future.

“Of course, the news that the Ukrainian army would be allowed to use long-range weapons created a kind of excitement among the public.

“But I was here a thousand days ago and I must say that I and many others did not think that Ukraine’s defense would be as effective as it is now.

“But more importantly, President Putin did not think that he would face a war that would last a thousand days. He thought that he would overthrow this government and establish a new one that supports Moscow.

“Fortunately, none of this happened.

“President Zelenskyy will speak at the EU parliament today. Then he will address the nation and put forward a new plan and vision for the future.

“It’s more about investment. But it also talks about what’s happening on the front lines, and that’s not good, especially in the east of the country.”

“Russia is on the rise there.”
