Boot Camp Clik’s Buckshot Makes a Triumphant Return

It’s not a rumor because I won’t say it this time!

I can’t tell you how much I’ve heard about the status of Buckshot of Black Moon. This is a sensitive issue; It’s more about the street than anything else. But what is clear is that Buckshot is back! And just in time!

Word on the streets is that a situation involving a rental property in Brooklyn now owned by the rapper allegedly escalated into a vicious and vicious fight. What happened after the incident shared on the internet looked really bad. Buckshot “said it” by performing at his own birthday celebration despite the seriousness of the occasion.

The celebration took place at the iconic venue SOBs in Manhattan, entirely Boot Camp Click in the building including Duck Down Records family. From Smif-N-Wessun to the lasting legacy of Sean Price, the team came out in full force to support their brethren.

Considering the severity of his reported injuries, I didn’t think Buckshot would even make it to the stage, let alone perform. But in true soldier form, he defied all odds. Wearing a hoodie and sporting a beard, Buckshot took the stage with undeniable energy and shook the mic like a seasoned MC. While it’s impossible to tell if he’s fully recovered, his performance was inspiring.

This is a testament to his will and the brotherhood that Boot Camp Clik represents. From their debut days with the 1993 classic Take the Stage From Duck Down Records becoming the cornerstone of independent Hip-Hop, Buckshot has always embodied tenacity and originality. His ability to overcome challenges and still keep up with the culture is nothing short of legendary.

The fact that today is his actual birthday makes this performance even more meaningful. It is our great joy to see that one of our Hip-Hop brothers is alive and still doing what he loves. We stand in full solidarity with Buckshot and wish him continued strength and success. We hope he continues to add greatness to the world as he has done for decades.
