Chicago mass shooting: Jaylun Sanders pleads guilty in 2022 mass shooting outside Near North Side McDonald’s

CHICAGO (Wales) — A second suspect pleaded guilty years later mass shooting kills two and injured nine people in Chicago.

According to Chicago police, the attack occurred in May 2022 outside a McDonalds in the 800 block of North State Street.

A total of three people were charged in the fatal attack: Jaylun Sanders, Kameron Abram and a man who was 17 at the time.

Anthony Allen and Antonio Wade It was determined that the victims were shot to death.

Chicago police said two groups of people were fighting when someone in the crowd started shooting.

On Tuesday, Sanders pleaded guilty to a single count of first-degree murder. He was initially facing more than 40 charges; but these were abandoned. His sentence will be determined on December 19.

Abram pleaded guilty to weapons charges in 2023. He was sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
