Campus Security Releases Report of Student Sexual Assault at Bellarmine Hall

A student at Bellarmine Hall reported sexual assault by a Loyola guest at Bellarmine Hall on November 17. Campus Security announced Report to the Loyola community on November 18 at 6:20 p.m.

The alleged criminal has been identified, said Christian Anderson, vice president of communications and executive communications officer.

“As noted in the Campus Alert, a student reported to the Dean of Students office that she was sexually assaulted by a non-Loyola guest in Bellarmine Hall on November 17,” Anderson wrote in an email to Phoenix. “The alleged criminal has been identified and there is no ongoing threat to safety.”

The incident was not reported to the Chicago Police Department, according to a CPD spokesperson.
