Popular Harry Potter author JK Rowling has revealed her biggest regret regarding the plot of the series.

While Rowling expressed her regret, she also apologized to her beloved fans if her words had broken their hearts.

In conversation with wonderland The 59-year-old author shared that he wrote the Ron and Hermione romance as a wish come true.

“I will say that I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a kind of wish fulfillment. It was actually designed that way.”

According to JK, the whole idea had little to do with literature and more to do with plot, so Hermione, played by Emma Watson, ended up with Ron, played by Rupert Grint.

“For reasons that have little to do with literature and more to do with me clinging to the plot I first imagined, Hermione ended up with Ron.”

Rowling continued: “I know, I’m sorry, I can hear the anger and rage this might cause in some fans, but to be completely honest, distance has given me some perspective on this. This was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for credibility reasons.”

“Am I breaking people’s hearts by saying this? I hope not,” the British author said apologetically.

However, JK Rowling personally believed that Hermione was much more compatible with Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe.
