1 dead, 1 injured in Buckeye

PHOENIX – A man is dead and a woman is in the hospital following a domestic violence incident in Buckeye Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Officers responded to a shooting call around 10:45 a.m. in a neighborhood near McDowell Road and Sienna Hills Parkway and learned there were two shooting victims. accordingly Buckeye Police Department.

They found a man and woman in their early 20s suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said the woman was shot in the back and the man apparently shot himself in the head.

Following domestic violence incident in Buckeye

The man, 23-year-old Jayden Kidd, suffered life-threatening injuries and died after being taken to the hospital. Police said he is considered a suspect in a domestic violence case.

Meanwhile, the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The couple are thought to be former romantic partners.

No other details were offered. The investigation continues.
