“The NEC unanimously approved and confirmed the disciplinary measures for gross misconduct, anti-party activities, factionalisation of the party and breach of the constitution,” Mgbudem said. he said.

He stated that the expulsions and suspensions were based on the findings of a seven-member committee led by Advocate Emeka Uwakolam.

Mgbudem rebutted claims by any group and assured members that the party would remain united.

“There are no factions in the party,” he said.

The NEC also praised the return of members previously affected by Imumolen’s rebellion against the leadership.

Looking forward, NEC expressed confidence in Mgbudem’s leadership, describing him as focused and visionary.

“We are rebuilding, rebranding and strengthening the party to meet citizens’ expectations for a better Nigeria,” Mgbudem said. he added.

The party has also launched a major membership drive aimed at strengthening its presence and influence in Nigeria’s democratic process.
