Man charged with assault and battery after incident with teenager in Denmark

DENMARK, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 42-year-old man has been charged with assault and battery, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

Quincy Lamar Grimes Sr., 42, was charged Monday with first-degree assault and battery and exposure of private parts in an obscene and lascivious manner, SLED said.

According to arrest warrants, around October 13, Grimes inappropriately touched a female child.

The warrant states that Grimes’ genitals were visible at the time of the incident.

According to the arrest warrant, the incident was also recorded on a mobile phone.

According to SLED, Grimes was sent to the Bamberg County Detention Center.
