Possible road rage ends with deadly shooting at Philly pizza shop; generally doubtful

A murder investigation continues as police search for the suspect they say shot and killed a man overnight at a North Philadelphia pizza shop.

Officers arrived just after midnight Thursday to find a 26-year-old man at the door of Pete’s Pizza on Ridge Boulevard.

It was determined that the person, who was injured by a bullet hitting his head, died at the scene.

Police believe the shooting may have been the result of a traffic accident in front of the pizza shop.

Things took a turn for the worse when the victim and the suspect got into a physical fight inside, which police said was caught on camera.

Police said the gunman then opened fire on the victim before fleeing in his vehicle.

He is described as a man in his 40s or 50s, driving a dark-colored SUV.
