Real Madrid football club has launched an investigation into racist abuse against Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal during Saturday’s El Clasico at the Bernabeu.

according to BBC SportsIn a video circulating on social media, it can be seen that the young boy, who celebrated the player’s goal in the 77th minute by pointing to the name written on the back of his jersey, was mocked by some fans.

Real Madrid released an official statement that read: “Real Madrid strongly condemns any act of racism, xenophobia or violence in football and sport and deeply regrets the insults uttered by several fans in a corner of the stadium last night.”

The statement also said, “Real Madrid has launched an investigation in order to find and identify the perpetrators of these deplorable and despicable insults and to take the necessary disciplinary and judicial measures.” statements were included.

Last week, four people were arrested for allegedly launching an online campaign to spread hatred and racism against Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr.

Considering all these problems, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and La Liga have taken an important step to combat increasing racist abuse.

Similarly, in June three Valencia fans were arrested for abusing another Madrid player and were later sentenced to eight months in prison.
