Cornerstone objection to erecting Wolverhampton 5G phone mast rejected

Cornerstone objection to erecting Wolverhampton 5G phone mast rejected

A proposal to erect a 5G phone mast has been rejected by a planning inspector.

Telecommunications infrastructure company Cornerstone was looking to install a 20.6-metre (68 ft) mast on Codsall Road on the outskirts of Wolverhampton.

The city council had previously refused planning permission due to the impact it would have on the people living there, but the company appealed.

But the planning inspector agreed with the council and rejected the objection, ruling that the mast would appear as a stark, incongruous, man-made feature on the site due to its height and bulk.
