Groton stabbing suspect captured in NH

GROTON, Va. (WCAX) – A man accused of stabbing in Calendonia County was arrested in New Hampshire Thursday morning.

Brandon Lackie, 36, of Groton, stabbed his acquaintance, John Faucette, 39, multiple times in the back Monday evening at a home on Tinkham Road in Groton, Vermont State Police said. They say he then stole his truck.

Faucette was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and was reported to be in stable condition.

The Haverhill Police Department and the Grafton County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Lackie Thursday morning, authorities said. Details of the arrest were not yet available.

Once extradited, he faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, violation of release conditions and operation without owner consent.
