Fans Found a Workaround for One of Dragon Age’s Most Annoying Things: Veilguard

But fans have now found a workaround that allows you to easily import your Inquisitor from another save file, and while it’s a bit complicated to do, it’s pretty easy.

If you’re just starting to play The Veilguard and want to import your Inquisitor, the first step you need to do in the character creator is to skip the import process entirely. Go to the Finish section of the character creator and open the Past Adventures menu. This is what allows you to customize your Inquisitor and a few of his past choices. Once here, open the Edit Inquisitor menu and go to the Appearance tab. Customize any option from here, literally anything. There may be a slight change in head shape, hair color, height or similar. The goal here is to make the game recognize that an edited version of The Inquisitor is present in the character creator associated with this new save file; This adds a new option to the presets screen, represented by a pair of bronze scissors. Your screen should look like this:

Now click Finish and return to the screen to customize the Castle. Tab to the Lineage screen, where you will import your Castle. Doing this will allow you to customize your hero again, but you can also import your Inquisitor by clicking the scissors icon in the customization screen if you do the steps above before importing. It’s an odd workaround for the lack of a proper, built-in option, and I wouldn’t be surprised if BioWare patched it to do it without all the complicated menu navigation, because it’s clear the functionality is there. Luckily, once you import your Inquisitor, BioWare will now make it look the way you want it to throughout the entire game. I fixed a bug this caused them to revert to one of the default faces during the game’s finale.
