Watchmakers Max Büsser and Rexhep Rexhepi are on the radar of Chanel and Louis Vuitton

Michael Tay, president of The Hour Glass and a long-time promoter of independent watchmakers, said: Australian Financial Review Journal recently: “Artisan watchmaking has been bubbling under the surface for 50 years and has really come to the fore among connoisseurs, collectors and enthusiasts in the last three to four years.” He may have included the “big players” in this group, given the endorsement of two of the industry’s leading figures for leading independents Max Büsser and Rexhep Rexhepi.

The MB brand has been Büsser’s focus for 20 years&F – Max Büsser and Friends – produces interesting machines; Cool watches often inspired by childhood toys and memories. Now Chanel has also attracted the attention of adults. In August, the luxury powerhouse acquired a 25 percent stake in MB&F, Büsser says, will ensure stability and ensure the long-term future of the small brand.
